hello all!

I am an amateur photographer on the Isle of Wight. At the moment it is only a hobby but I would love to make more of it.

I use a (now ageing) Sony alpha 100 and sometimes steal my partners' lumix point-and-shoot, just because it's easier to carry. I enjoy wildlife and long-exposure photography, sadly these rarely combine well :)

I have recently joined the 'Focus' camera club, based in Binstead where I often submit photographs into their club competitions - lots of second places so far, but I will get that elusive first!

As of January 2010 I plan on compiling a 365 photography blog, but being a lazy pit-monster many of these may well be inspired by bedsheets and looking out of my window! But we shall see as the year progresses. You can see how this goes in the blog link up ^ there :)

I have had two of my pictures (ok, technically only one as my partner took the other but ssshhhh) printed in the 2009 Festival Annual, and one of my Bestival 2009 snaps of Lily Allen used in promo material for JBL Loudspeakers.
